The purpose of disbanding a unit

Sun Aug 03, 2008 11:21 pm

Could somebody give me an example of a situation where it is worthwhile to disband a unit ?

Well, truth be told, I've never done so myself, but you could imagine a situation where a unit is down to its last element (making it almost as expensive and probably as time-consuming to get to full strength as building a new unit will be), and perhaps even finds itself in a place you really don't need it and won't be anyplace useful anytime soon and you have reahced your force pool maximums, you might want to disband it to be able to build it someplace more useful.

Hmmm.... I imagine it's not very often it sees any use ;)

You don't lose NM if you disband a unit, in difference if the enemy destroy it. The enemy can't capture your units if you disband them.
