A few questions after playing

Mon Jul 14, 2008 6:03 am

I am just in the middle of a PBEM game, where the following questions came to my mind:

1: Is it possible to move troops onto a transport ship, and then sail them away from a city under siege? In my 1812 game I have detroit under siege, with Hull's army located inside along with his fleet. Could he try to evacuate the city with his fleet then, or is this impossible?

2: Do Voltiguers and canadian rangers receive the same benefits as militias when fighting in Canada? They are not described as militias, but they do show the "state of origin" in their profile.

3: Will an Indian leader with the Anglo-Indian commander ability, be able to command British troops without penalties?

4: If an assault fails, will the besieger then always withdraw to an adjacent province, or may he be able to continue the siege?

5: When you use the military and diplomatic options they disappear from the option screen. Is it only possible to buy these options once, or will they reappear after some time?
Thank goodness we don't understand the language of ravens, jackdaws, crickets, frogs, and pigs. Otherwise we'd probably worry about what they think too. Yet how many people seem more brainless than the frogs and jackdaws? Does that make any difference to us? No. We let what they say upset us and render our lives utterly miserable.

I only know the first one: yes he can evacuate or reinforce by sea/lake as long as you don't have a fleet to hider his movements.

Just bumbing this tread, as I have added a few more questions.

Hi!
Again, i only keno some answers... :siffle:

3- yes he should. Both British and indians.
4- from my xperience, the usual is that after a failed assault the besieger remain in the province. But maybe he can withdraw sometimes if defeated too badly.

Ok, thanks for the answer.

I have experienced that my army retreated from the province they were besieging, so that is definately possible.

5. Each option has different 'reset parameters'....

All can repeat at least once [total 2 uses]
None are 'unlimited'

Most, if not all, are limited to once or twice a year, 'reloading' in specific months [not all the same]....
Always ask yourself: "Am I part of the Solution?" If you aren't, then you are part of the Problem!
