What about the "scissors" icon that appears atop some of one's own units? I've come to assume that it indicates "non-synchronized movement," as it disappears when synchronized movement is ordered. Is that right?
If so, it seems a little unnecessary to me.
It means that an enemy stack is targeted for interception / follow up by your stack...

On this one: so it's saying your stack is in offensive stance? I wasn't aware of an interception or chase option, although that woul be nice especially for enemy raiders.
Do note, though, that if you pursue them into enemy-controlled regions (i.e. where you have less than 5% control), you will be automatically switched to offensive posture.arsan wrote:The offensive posture switch is not automatic when intercepting. You have to choose offensive if you want to intercept and engage the enemy. If not you will follow them and only fight if the enemy is on offensive posture.
Using rail to catch up with them is also useful, provided they haven't cut the raillines yetarsan wrote:In fact yes, its very useful to catch enemy raiders. But they are fast and sneaky. You will need cavalry units and if possible with a nice leader with them.
