A couple of questions/suggestions from me

Sun Jul 06, 2008 8:04 pm

Just tried this nice game and have a few things to report :
- can we have one thread where people ask questions about this game and one where they make suggestions and one for bugs ? Otherwise there will be a few hundred new threads soon :innocent:
- why is loyalty described as Rebel vs Tory in all scenarios ? Engine limitation ?
- where can I see the total casualties during the scenario(s) ( I love numbers and statistic in war games ) ?
- Don Bernado Galvez scenario will crash if you click on the "event" messages - there is no text linked to events (playing Spanish side)
- Pequot war --- Britain is unbelievable passive and all you need to win it (with natives) is to .. do nothing :king:

That is all .. for now.

If you had looked there is already a thread titled "a couple of questions", you probably didnt see it :niark:

Now as you seem to be already aware of the problem, maybe repost your questions there and let this one die out.

Lefty and Rafiki will handle that, it doesn't really matter WHERE to post, what matters is that we post so they can patch at once. (tomorrow is monday) :)

This is true. I often feel I have to report everything I found while playing because maybe no one else will.

My personal preference is to have many threads, each dealing with a limited number of (related) topics, perhaps even just one topic, with each thread having an illustrious subject that pinpoints the thread's purpose in a heartbeat.

However, I know that this is subject to preference and therefore do not enforce it too much, unless threads start getting really "icky" ;)

The only problem with that approach is that threads drop from page 1 and all information is lost. So I think several multipage stickies like "first impressions" or "miscellaneous gameplay questions" would be better.

Anyway you are the man in charge, and this is still a great, intelligent forum. But this might all change one day if there are more members.

(Sorry, I've just been dying to use that smiley.... :D )

You have a good point, but as we move along, we'll see which questions that are recurring, and Someone will take it upon them to collect it all in a nicely structured, easily overviewable FAQ.

When there are more members, we shall strive to adapt to that appropriately; in fact we've already started doing that, but in very subtle ways :)

Nah, but he's nice and lets me pretend I am, every now and then ;)
