Real Men can do that!

Work nice, if you have some RAM (and Windows XP? Best Windows O/S ever!).

It is rumored that the AI can exchange between the various games running. I even saw once Davout corps marching to the sound of guns on behalf of Mc Dowell... They were busy repulsing Gage.

NCP in russian is nice but you would have impressed me with Frederick the Great loaded too :fleb: ;)

Besides I cannot see any porn video on your desktop :niark:

Now seriously, if you have enough memory, have you tried to set paging file size to 0, so that everything is loaded in RAM?

There is a noticeable speedup.

In the future I plan to add 2 GB and try it (4GB in total), I pressume NCP loading time will be reduced

I suspect I could do that with 4Gb or RAM and 4 processors. Only got video card with 768Mb VRAM.

But the most games, I have ever played concurrently is two.

Norbert,

You also have both an LCD and CRT?

What are you doing with your CRT these days? I am using mine for playing old DOS games in DOSBOX. I make the resolution on the 20" CRT very low like 720x480 and then have the DOSBOX window pretty much fill most of the screen.

It makes a game which on a 21.3" LCD would look like a postage stamp, look quite large and comfortable on the eyes.

I am a huge fan of two monitor systems as it is a big help for me if I am working on the computer. I have a 19" CTR and a 22" (wide screen) LCD. I do not use the CRT monitor for any special application, there was simply no reason yet to replace it with another LCD.
I use the LCD too if I play older games with low resolutions. Running DOSBox in full screen mode mostly, so everything is big enough. :)

Cheers
Norbert

I've got one of those quad processors and 3 GB running Vista Pro and it's running ACW great. Do not run 2 games at the same time but keep my e-mail open while I play. Vista lets me play MOO2 which my XP box does not. 22" screen is a lot better than my old 19" on these old eyes.
For one grandsire stood with Henry,
On Hanover's Sacred sod,
And the other followed "Harry"
In the Light Horse' foremost squad.
And my grandsires stood together
When the foe at Yorktown fell;
"Stock" like this, against oppression
Could do naught else but REBEL.

Um, I'm in stupid brain-dead mode.... :(

How do you get the game to run in a window like that? :bonk:

:o

Now, you'll tell me that somewhere in the manual it says that "Fixed resolution, with border" means "in a window"....

I think I get the "OMG, what a silly question" award in the 'over 50 group... :bonk:
