conscripts, most warships, cavalry - 5
regular infantry, sharpshooters, pontooneers - 10
artillery, support, volunteers & militia - 20
In my experience, cavalry earn stars faster than anything else, but that may just be from the way I use them [up].
This will be a little bit out of the topic, but since somebody brought this up, i want to ask the questions that were in my mind for some time.
1- The ProgRate for Black Troops in the models folder is 5. What's the main reason behind this? Their late entrance to the game? Their high will of fight (fighting against slavery)? Because this rate makes them formidable troops easier than other troops.
2- If i'm not wrong, having replacements decreases the experience points of an element. So when an element loses men and have them replaced, they lose experience points, so maybe an experience star according to this. Is it true? Anyone know how it works?
3- The ProgRate of commanders is 10. But when they are promoted to the upper rank, they lose some experience points (a loss of 2 exp. points when a 1* promotes to 2* as far as i can remember, but i'm not sure). But it is not like the troops, they don't lose exp. points due to replacement. Is this a fixed number? And why does it happen?
Thanks in advance.
