e and r cycles through all land forces but what does control e and r do? the manual states that it skips non movin units but when i use it it appears just to cycle through the same troops!

i sure wish it was easier to find units on the map as this is the thing i like least about the game. is there no way that a button could be added so that active/moveable units could be highlighted on the strategic map?

Hi tonedog!

The 'E' and 'R' keys skip units with movement orders. Ctrl-E/R show also units with movement orders.

E/R will show the units you have not moved yet. Very useful when you want to check if every force has received orders.

He did say "Ctrl-E/R show ALSO units with movement orders". So I read that as it shows those without movement orders and ALSO those with.

E/R - Cycle units that have no orders and aren't S'ed
Ctrl + E/R - Cycle all units that aren't S'ed, including both those with and without orders.

ok so the best way to carry out a turn is to move units, sentry them and then cycle using e + r?

would still be great if there was a way to skip units that were inactive/static though.

I sentry units that are garrisons and static, and let all others be non-sentry and cycle through them once (there is a defined order to how the stacks are cycled) and give whatever orders I deem necessary while doing so. Then I do the same for naval units with T/Y.
