Retreat Question

Hi folks, I know units will have an increased chance to retreat into the region they came from after combat – but does this only apply on the turn they moved into the region or does it still apply after they have been in the region for several turns?

The flag is erased at the end of each turn. Otherwise you would also get a river crossing penalty over several turns, etc. There was a choice here.
