Spain and Portugal

I chose to put a Bonaparte on the Spanish throne. Afterwards, "French Spanish" is created, but Spain is still a French ally with a -60 relations. After this Event, Spain should not be a French Ally:

I occupied all of Portugal, and the French are receiving supply there. Is this because of the ports, or the Depots that had been created by Event, running across Spain? Also, the British Army invasion with Wellington was totally crushed because the army split into dribs and drabs:

BTW, please bring back "Leaders on Top," or at least, make it an Option.
