conquering minors

I have a problem (or what i believe it is a problem !)

As Spain, i dowed portugal a first time, took over some areas with the peace
I dowed again Portugal at the end of the previous peace and conquered again areas.
Portugal is now reduced to liboa and 4 areas.
I dowed a third time portugal and this time, i can't take anything anymore (no area to be captured through peace)

I dowed Morocco and took 3 areas.
Next, i dowed again morocco and this time, can't take anything anymore (no area to be captured through peace)
i took over all areas and destroyed all armies during the war (military 100% and no more ennemies)

idem for algeria
i took 1 area then after the peace, dowed again and like morocco, nothing anymore possible to get.

So, we can't conquer fully a minor ?
i was able to grab almost all portugal but almost nothing for morocco and algeria,

Is that what the game allow ??

There are Events that are (supposed to) fire, that allow the player to take the regions that were historically taken. We do not have a list of these historical Events, describing what they do, or when they are supposed to fire. There are specific requirements for each of these Events, but right now, they are a total mystery.

You need to have some loyalty set in the region you ask for or adjacent to it (in this case at least 2 regions must have 20%+ loyalty)
