Militia bug?

I noticed that certain units in my game such as the 1st IA Volunteers, have a regular infantry Nato symbol. However, if I add them to a division, the division then has the militia Nato symbol. I try to keep my militia for garrison and patrol duty to keep the cavalry raiders at bay, so this is a bit annoying.

Bug or "feature?"

don't quite know... can be a bug. Do you have a savegame with such example?
