Ambassador Event Failure

I've seen this in the base game and we are now getting it in the Ultimate Mod.

The Ambassador to Italy event is failing each and every time. It will be 5 times in a row (assuming Markus played the event again).

In a game I had versus AI, all my ambassador events failed as well as quite a few Regional Cards. Message would consistenty say, "... event failed" This included bombarding forts, though I had the munition trains, etc...When I restarted the game, it worked.

Anyone have an idea what's going on? Why would sending an ambassador fail? Doesn't it make sense that the Ambassador makes it to Italy (not like he doesn't know where it is), and then simply fail on increasing support?

The GE Print State Funds card was at 0 duration. It probably should have already been dropped from the map, but it wasn't. The logs showed an Invalid Option message related to the Print State Funds card. I believe this failure causes any other GE regional card to fail.

I've escalated this to Pocus, he's pretty busy working on the new Napoleon game but hopefully we'll get a response back in the near future. Will let you know when I hear back. In the meantime, I may look at non-RGD solutions for this, at least in the Ultimate Mod.

Nothing obvious spotted in the code and testing that with the current WON campaign is ok, some decisions fails, some succeed. I can provide to Altaris an updated EAW.EXE in a few days though.

Yeah would be nice to get an updated EXE in case it's a legacy engine bug.
