Vista?

Tue Jun 12, 2007 4:01 am

I have just installed Vista! Before I did this awful thing (?) I had an Icon on my desktop from my original download. Of course, now it is gone. I can explore and see the program sitting on my hard drive but I have no idea how to get it to run. Would you please help me?!!! :p leure:

You made an upgrade from XP or you install an new OS ?
In the first case, you should see the previous XP organisation in your desktop and Start menu. In the second case, you will have to reinstall the software you need for Vista.

Dearl Celtic: I made an upgrade from XP to Vista. Where do I look to find my old desktop with all my favorite icons? I see ACW listed under my hard drive but I don't know enough to be able to get it to play/? Thanks for your help!! Please don't abandon me!! Larry3

ACW don't do fancy things about registrations, so it is still waiting for you: open the game directory, and seek the AACW.EXE icon. Do a shortcut of it on your desktop. It should works (baring a Vista incompatibility!)

If you remember what those shortcuts were called you should use the file search function to search for them - chances are the upgrade process put them all somewhere and they're all still there waiting to be used.

Otherwise just create a new shortcut to AACW.EXE (wherever it is).

Celtic: How about my deleting my AGE/AACW files and re-downloading the file from your end? Larry

this can do the trick, I will send you a link to download again the game. Don't forget to burn this file on a CD, in case of hard drive crash. Also you will have to patch it.
