The corpse of an army cannot be in the same stack, and do not need to be in the same region. You can leave them in the same region, but you can also move them as far from the Army HQ as far as you want. There are only 2 things you have to pay attention to:
1. Moving a corps outside the Army HQ's command range (select the Army HQ stack and press the <Shift> key to view the command range on the map) will cause it to lose the benefits that the the Army Commander lends him.
2. A corps can only March to The Sound of Guns (MTSG) to aid a sister corps or the Army HQ --or the other way around-- if those two or more stacks are adjacent.
