Vive la France!

France beat Russia in the fastest and greatest game on earth. :neener:

Antoine Roussel scored the second-period winner as France beat Russia 2-1 in one of the biggest upsets in international hockey history on Thursday. The result ended the defending champions' World Championship winning streak at 13 games.

Wow, that is quite impressive! To be fair though, Russia is missing several of the world's most talented players, and Bryzgalov may or may not be afraid of the puck (somewhat awkward for a goaltender :neener :) . Still a great victory for the French, one to be celebrated!

Edit: It appears that Bryz was not in nets this game, so his fear of pucks and wild animals was not to blame!

Congratulations to France. :w00t:
Now we (Slovenia) need to follow the example and prove that we can do it without Kopitar and Muršak.

Sounds better when they sing it, always great to see someone make their own hockey history. :)

You happen to be a Predators fan? :)

Predators are going to get a great player if they draft Barkov, franchise player, im as sure one can be with prospects.

En tant que fan de hockey, je ne peut que salué cette belle victoire!

(Bien que j'aurais préféré que soit l'équipe Canadien qui l'emporte comme si souvent elle l'a fait ^^.)
