Naval Transport of Supplies

Wed Apr 17, 2013 2:08 pm

Birth of Rome. Regarding rule "9.2.2 Naval Transport of Supplies." The rule states that "Naval Transport Units may be used" ... to supply "friendly land units located in adjacent coastal regions."

I've never been able to make this happen. Do you just park your ships off the coast and the supplies are unloaded automatically? Or is there something more to it. I've had land units low on supply with Naval Transports off the coast, but have noticed no improvement in their supply levels. I must be doing something wrong, or not taking some factor into account...but I don't know what it is. Any help appreciated. Thanks!

You need to load the supply units onto the transport ships, they will then draw supply from the stock held by the transports. Then move them back onto land the next turn.

...or simply use your ships to transport supply wagons to where they are needed (and back again)

Thanks for the help! (There are a few places where the rulebook could use a little updating...)
