Several times I've saved orders that have later disappeared when the game experienced a fault. This last time they were partly done and gone from the save folder but I had copied them over to the PBEM dropbox and could retrieve them.
The crashes and this problem (and the purchase failure issue) seem associated with the recent patching.

Confirming this has happened to me more than once. I have been noticing this from v1.03c onward mainly. The orders (.ord) disappear.
