What do I have to do to get Hispania from Pompeius?

Tue Sep 25, 2012 10:56 pm

In my previous try I won over the whole province via event quite easily, but now I've been trying to get the event to launch in vain for a long time. First I took all the strategic towns, didn't help. Then I took *every* town in Spain, didn't help. I thought that maybe they have to be occupied too, but that didn't help. So what must I do? Needless to say that there aren't any (major) Pompeian forces left in the area. At the moment I'm only aware of one Equites unit.

is Caesar there?
...not paid by AGEOD.
however, prone to throw them into disarray.

Yes, has been there for over a year.

Edit: to clarify on the OP; I have only garrisoned the strategic towns.

Military control of what? Hadn't even been aware there was an event for Hispania. In my first game I conquered every single city and nothing happened, I certainly had military control of the city regions as well as all roman road regions. But Caesar wasn't present...

In my current game the Pompeians have been soundly defeated in the first year and Caesar himself has now left Hispania to prepare for other campaigns while two of his 2-stars are to complete the conquest...

We had on our ToDo list the making of a comprheensive list of events and options with their respective requirements, probabilities, costs, gains, etc.

Curiously :) , we have not had time for it yet. On the other hand, this in certain cases and for some players may represent a serious spoiler...

put it in the manual, most people dont read it ^^
or write it in Greek or Latin

alternative, leaving out all events which are not multiple choice or based on other things than moral loss/objectives seized

Could you please PM the requirements to me? I've no idea how I managed to get the event to fire previously, but it definitely should've fired by now.

Odd, in my first game I'm pretty sure I controlled all roman cities in Hispania (so not non aligned barbarians) and I never had fewer than 6 or 7 legions present (and by the end the Opmeians could not have had more than 1 Legion and maybe some auxiliaries left (pretty sure there was a cavalry unit roaming around)). unfortunatelly I no longer have that save game or else I'd take a look...
