1759 Annus Mirabilis - 2 Problems/Questions

Sat May 01, 2010 10:56 pm

As a newbie still fiddling with the gui and athena, I've played the "1759 Annus Mirabilis" scenario as the french (1.07b).
I had 2 problems:

1. In the Unit-Ledger the filter on "fixed forces" seems not to work correct for the french (no units are shown), but for the brits.

2. the scenario ended with the turn from oktober to november, not from november to december as stated in the description or "turn tooltip".

Am I doing or do I understand something wrong ?

Am I correct that the scenarios always lasts 1 turn (the initial turn) longer than stated in the description ?

Thanks,
Bernadotte
(sorry, it's to late tonight for proper english)

1. Hmm. It appears that the "first page" F1 filters are not showing any locked stacks with Subfactions {CAN or INF} troops, but unlocked subfaction troops do show up in the "second F1" page.

British don't show any locked subfaction troops {ING or COL} either.... On the Buglist :(

2. Yes, the stated turn counts are all low. :bonk: The first and last months listed are "included" so May to November is actually 7 turns :o

Thank you! :)

I understand, but especially in this scenario it ended one turn earlier as expected (after 6 turns) !
Can you confirm that ?

Thanks & regards,
Bernadotte

Er, um I stand corrected! :o
(there was once a "turn 0", but Mr. Pocus fixed that) :D

6 turns is WAD.
At first glance there seem to be 7 months (May to November), but you only execute 6 turns...

..like a weekend visit to the in-laws: arrive Friday, leave Sunday:
3 "days", 2 nights 'executed'
:mdr:

Allright, I understand this (weird behavior) and I can confirm this for WiA and NCP scenarios I've played so far (but not for "1759 Annus Mirabilis") !

Does this only count for the "1759 Annus Mirabilis" Scenario, for some scenarios (which ?) or for all scenarios ?
When I look into the Database File the scenario duration seems O.K., but anyway it lasts to short :bonk:

It are those little "odds and ends" (bugs) which makes it very hard for the beginner to get into and addicted to your games, especially when you didn't walked all the way from BoA to AACW -> NCP -> WiA -> RoP !

But maybe I'm just to stupid for ageod games :( ,
Anyway thanks for your help,
Bernadotte
