fort building

Thu Feb 04, 2010 3:27 pm

ive just built a fort in few acres of snow and it consumed 2 supply units.i know before 1.06d that it would only use one. Has it been increased with the patch? i have looked on the notes but didnt see anything about it.

Hi!
For what i know, forts should still need just 4 wagon elements + 4 arty elements.
Can this be a case of this?? (taken from the patch read me)

"Note: Under some conditions, Depot Build may consume partial strength supply units.
To be safe, separate the two supply units [must have 4 elements each and be >50% strength] for depot build command"

Was some of the wagons understrength?? (less than 4 elements??)

In this case the building system may consume (for example) a 3 element wagon + another wagon just for the one element its still needed... even if the second wagon has a lot more elements.

To be safe, i always separate the arty and wagons i want to use for building on its own stack so i know for sure what will be used and what not.
Unist of other stack on teh region won't be used for the building.
Cheers!

PS: by the way, this "quirk" is not form the new patch, but since the older 1.06...) In any case its an improvement as before units were counted, not elements, which could lead to "gamey" buildings with understrength wagons.
