I've just written a review on the game at wargamer which shows my opinion on the game.
strength and honour 2 reviewIn 2009, i've played 3 games by them (Sango 2, Takeda 3 and S&H2) and i really enjoy them. The AI is imho fairly good and i have lost many battles. Anyway, if you have more questions than what is in my review, go ahead.

About the price, i think the cheapest it to buy it directly from Magitech and you'll get a physical copy. If you prefer the online edition, you'll have to get the gamersgate version which is more expensive.
Cheers
PS: i made a short break for my AAR as i was writting the review
PS2: as you said...can't say much about the other game as i think the dev talked too much...but i'll keep you guys posted as soon as something will be officially announced. All i know is this:
Which is something i look forward to.
Thanks and congratulations for your game's review. Informative and objective work !!
I'm strongly thinking about an acquisition in a short period of time.
I've seen that it's free-shipping worldwide, it's a very good news too !!

By the way, in how many days did you receive your game ?
As you wrote, I would also prefer a more detailled map on the European theater. 2 or 3 additional cities in Italy would have been great and some in Gaul, Spain, Germania and Africa too. On a counter-part, I'm a little afraid by the characters' management of a great Empire !!
A more realistic military part would have pleased me too. Conquering the whole world with 5.000 or 10.000 men seems a little ... well ... inappropriate ...
And one last word. Did you manage to take Roma with your Syracusean army ?
Regarding the new game on Rome, I will follow that too. A more strategic and military oriented game would be cool.
And for Arsan, it seems that the Hannibal game is a real copy/paste of this boardgame. As you said, I'm also more and more worried about a possible engine adaptation for a more ambitious project.
