Russian Surrender

Sun Nov 22, 2009 5:12 pm

Russia has been in Revolution for about a year. The Russian Army is 99% gone. Turkish forces will be on the Sea of Azov next turn. Germans control Moscow and Petrograd and the A/H have Odessa, Kiev and are heading for Sevastopol.

Each turn the Russian NW resets to 27 and civil production increases by two points. It started at about 12-it is now at 22 and climbing. There is a message that says there is a Revolution ongoing and some of the effects are those increases.

The Reds seem to control Russia. I do not have any option for making a peace treaty that I can see. I am wondering what I can do. Would it be helpful if I withdrew from Moscow-or something similar? I could actually occupy the whole remaining playable country if I wanted to.

Do you mean it happens because Russia forms a New Government each turn? Now the number of such political actions is much more limited:
- max 1 new government action per Interphase;
- not allowed if the capital(s) is(are) enemy controlled;
- max number of new government total actions is now 5.

hey, just to clarify. Are you saying this issue has been addressed in a recent patch?

Yes, version 1.06H should be already ok for the New Government issue.

I should have written down the message verbatim-sorry. I know that this particular message does not say anything aboout a new government. It says that a revolution is happening in Russia and that the NW is reset to 27 and 2 points added to civil production.

The last message of that type to come up was different in that it did not add 2 points to civilian production, but just said the civil production was now at 11. It was just previously at 22-so it lost 11 points.

The playable area of Russia is almost completely occupied by CP forces. I don't know why Russia does not surrender.

As France has just surrendered (causing a NW loss in Russia), I stopping this game. I'll try it again from a different angle.
