wrong forum, sorry

Wed Jul 15, 2009 11:06 pm

I am interested in a short game before I start school in the fall. I do not have much experience with this type of thing, so I need someone to help me along. I am thinking of playing a year in the west. I would really like to finish before September, so is 24 turns in 30 days reasonable? Anyone interested?

Thanks, I looked for a better place to post this but, obviously not hard enough. I have the Civil War page bookmarked, so I skipped right past it.

Yeah, it's wierd because all the games use the same pbem forum. I suppose it's more efficient that way, though.

I didn't mean to imply that the general forum should be used for pbem matchups, but that it would be nice if each game had it's own forum for pbem. Because there's no link to the pbem forum in the AACW section, some people don't find it and naturally assume to use the general forum. Personally, I have no problem with the current setup, but I wouldn't mind a link similer to that of the AAR link.

possible by having a pbem link in each game, it could bring more people into it. The current set up is not bad though either. pros and cons to both ways i guess.
Quote General Lee Gettysburg movie,
"Do you see, General, there is the great trap, to be a good soldier you must love the army, to be a good commander you must be ready to order the death of the thing you love. We don't fear our death. But if this war goes on and on and the men die and the price gets ever high. We are prepared to lose some of us, but we are never prepared to lose all of us. We are adrift here in a sea of blood and I want it to end. I want this to be the final battle".
