Monkey Island returns!!!

Mon Jun 01, 2009 11:15 pm

I know this might not be the right people to tell, but i'm so happy that I have to spread the word. One of my first games to keep me playing through the night besides pirates was monkey island, and now lucasarts is doing a remake, and telltale games is doing a sequel - happy times :coeurs:

Holy times when Lucasart made great games, without exploiting the Star Wars licence at all cost ... :bonk:
A good news anyway !! ;)

This looks great I like how you can switch between the old game and the new one if you want :)

Yeah, Monkey Island was really a great game. However, I only played part I and II.

Three years ago I played them both again - on my cellular phone! (I had a Sony Ericsson P 910i which could run the ScummV emulator).

I just loved the humor in the LucasArt (Films) games, like monkey island and day of the tentacle.

Yeah, you're right. Day of the Tentacle was probably the most funny game I've ever played !! :D
Their adaptation of the Dr. Jones' adventures were not bad at all too.

I forgot about 'Indiana Jones - Fate of Atlantis' also a very good game, but not so funny as monkey og day of the tentacle.

I actually played this in my lunch break at work. My boss came to talk to me in the last few minutes of the game and my 'friend' took over and finished the game for me as I was talking to my boss.

Happy days though - when we could play games in our lunch break.

Cheers, Chris
