NM inconsistency?

Wed Apr 01, 2009 7:47 pm

Unless I am missing something, the NM figure given in the top left panel next to the wreath of laurels is inconsistent with the tooltip info. At least in my (only) game, the two figures are always 5 points apart. Presently, the panel says 95, the tooltip says 100. It used to be 90 and 95. (The other oddity is that I believe it just moved up 5 points with a NM boost of only 3, but about that I am not sure. It's just that I don't think I ever earned NM before, so where did the 2 come from?)

Is this a known issue, simply an issue, or no issue at all? :)

Some of these NM inconsistencies have been addressed in the new v1.13d (Public Beta) update patch. If you have the time to download and test it, please let me know of any that are still slipping thru.

Also, sometimes, there are specific events that raise NM a specified amount, and they are appropriately announced, but there is an internal function for the NM to randomly self-adjust towards 100. Adjustments for this random function are not announced but are additive for the turn.

Gray, he is asking about WIA :bonk: :D

Heldenkaiser,
I think what you see is WAD.
The things id that there are two different concepts:
- NM points
- NM coefficient.
The second is (for what i know) the % penalty or bonus you troops cohesion (and maybe other statistics too :confused :) and things like your WS, $ and conccrips production (on AACW) get because of your NM level.
This coefficient moves always from 5 to 5 % and its rounded down from you real NM points.
So a 99 NM will give you 95% NM coeff, a 100 NM points will give 100% coeff. and 104 will give you also 100%.
It has been like this on AACW always (at least until now for what Gray says).

About your 2 NM extra points probably they were added by some event you or your rivle got por because you have taken some objective or some won some big battle.
Maybe you didn't noticed the NM increase message or maybe the event is missing the +2NM info on the message...
Regards!

That's true, the tooltip says coefficient. :)

I noticed that, but I just thought it was again two different terms for the same thing, like there is sometimes in AACW.

I'll check if I can square the difference between the two using your explanation.

In any case, many thanks! :)
