
Is it possible the blockade boxes are broken and working in reverse? Or does the CSA get a "hidden" 30% bonus to WSu production?
I've been trying to track the economy in a couple of test games, and I've found that whenever something adds to war supply, it's adding more than it should.
The tooltip text says that the Josiah George Steel Mill event is supposed to add +10 production to Richmond. But the budget displays an increase of +13 to WSu production -- 30% more than expected. Maybe it's just a coincidence that the blockade level was at 35%. (I know the blockade effect is really only supposed ot be half that, so this is probably not the explanation)
Also, every time I've gotten a WSu boost from industrialization, the actual WSu boost is always 1-2 WSu higher than what the message says. These extra bonuses arent necessarly consistent with the reverse blockade theory. In fact, they aren't completely consistent at all: on the 5 times I was supposed to get a +2 boost I really got +3; 2 out of 3 times I was supposed to get a +3 boost I really got +4 and once got a +5; on the 3 times I was suppsoed to get a +4 boost I really got a +5 once and +6 twice. If you adjust for rounding, 9 out of 12 of these events could be explained by getting a 30-35% increase, if not from the blockade then somewhere else.
I verified I was getting more than the expected WSu by looking at the WSu production at the state level and also on the ledger.
I checked all the patch notes and couldn't find anything that would explain this.
Does anyone else know what's going on?
As a side note -- if industrialization is really generating 30-35% more WSu than previously thought, that could make industrialization seem more attractive.
