Autosave feature...

Sat Feb 14, 2009 2:53 am

Hi,

Since we can all agree that while the stabilisation process is going on there will inevitably be the odd crasher here and there, I thought there could be an autosave feature (since saving is quite fast, it is not really intrusive) to save us the trouble of manual saves.

The autosave filename could be AutoSave or something like that and there could even be a backup Autosave.old.... Anyway just a thought.

Thanks

The autosave procedure is present, but it works (when the corresponding check-box in the Options window is activated) only at the end of every turn, provided no modal window is going to be displayed. A modal window is, for example, the "Draw Events" window: that's to say a window that you cannot open by yourself, but a window that appears automatically. The reason is that the autosave closes all windows, and the Draw Events too, so making you unable to draw new events...

So I suggest you to use frequently the F12 key: it saves of WW1QUICKSAVE.sav/map ;)
