Question about Stand Watie

Sat Dec 13, 2008 9:36 pm

He doesn't want to enter the structure (empty) even if I drag him on it:

Now it's winter and there is snow everywhere, he and his man will die from lack of supply.
Can somebody explain that?

Looks like he doesn't control that city.

IIRC, irregulars don't capture cities where loyalty is in enemy favor.

Yes, he cannot control the city if he only commands irregulars but... shouldn't Watie and company burn that depot automatically??

If so, it doesn't work since my opponent's depot is still there. :non:

In my tournament game I noticed the same - that is Stand Watie and his men didnt burn depots automatically. In an other game - different version, and different scenario - raiders did, so the trait works as intended.

As to not occupying the town - I understand why it is so - raiders dont hang around and dont do occupation duty. But it is a bit strange that Stand Watie, with 1000+ men cant even occupy the smallest village, while a unit of 500 regulars an take a level 10 town.

You might have to assault orders to take out the depot. As irregulars don't change their stance when entering enemy territory.

Usually when I use Stand Watie I raid in the good weather then I return him to his base in Indian Territory during the winter months thats how I play my raiders.
