I was wondering what all you experts think about looting regions where there is basically zero supply. I know that in the French-Indian War scenario that you get extra VP points for looting, but is it worth while to split up your irregular forces and go on a massive looting spree?
I also have noticed that larger irregular forces will usually loot regions with cities/towns/forts, but single units will not. I guess that has to do with the control of the region and the enemy army strength?
So how do you guys usually go about tearing up the countryside? Larger forces or split up into small single units that loot all the open ground they come across.
In my last scenario I played, (Montcalm) I used mainly single irregular units to set the frontier on fire. I only usually massed them if I felt threatened in the Ft.Duquesne theater, and then I used them mainly to set ambushes which were quite effective against some of the blind commanders the British have.
I really like the way the game design lets you use forces such as irregulars for scouting or ambushes and how good they are at fighting in horrible terrain. And with the Indian commanders they can move through the wilderness like nobody's business.
