Total blockade and CSA foreign intervention

Thu May 29, 2008 6:46 pm

The tooltip for the total blockade options gives a nearly 50/50 chance (OK, 45/55 or something) for a reduction in the CSA foreign intervention rating. Does this normally really work this way? Reason I ask is that in my game the rating has gone up every single time I use the option. I am now at 70 points and really hesitate to use the option any further. :bonk:

I remember several players claiming rare results on this.

However... most of the times seems just a chance question.

If 100 players throw a coin 6 times (i e the option during 6 years on 50/50)

3 of these players get those results (i.e all faces)... As we play a lot of games sure some of us get those results.

If both players do the option during 3 years is the same 3%.

Sure cheating is posible unfortunately :grr: ... Unless you run the turn, then it is somewhat hard, (perhaps the Masters of Athena?...if they cared :king: )

Helden,

I tend to get negative effects off of that option also, at least more negative than good. I have had two games so far that I ended up triggering the FI for the CSA by useing that option. I don't use it any more because of the negative.
