I second the statement on the fact it takes a serious wargamer to play this game but It looks like from his review he doesn't know Rail/River capability derives from investments in the appropriate sector.

In overall, it is a balanced review coming from a well-accredited press website. :)

What i don't understand is why he mentions it will ship early next year isn't the box version out yet? NPC site even shows the Boxed version picture already.

P.S. I think age 3+ for NPC is a bit too demanding on kids, even though some chinese kids are chessmasters at around 8 yr old age

AGEod has signed a deal with CDV for AACW retail distribution.

So far, distribution in the US went through AGEod webshop, NWS and Matrix.

That's what he meant: Retail distribrition early 2008.

Good news for our american friends! :cwboy:

Easy enough: A game is not necessarly distributed simultaneously worldwide.

People from our community have been able to buy AACW from us in April 2007.

However, for the game to be retail distributed, first we have to sign a contract with a distributor, second the distibutor has to produce the game and to distribute it according to his own schedule.

Eg: In France, we had signed with Nobilis very early on. However, it's only in june 2007 that Nobilis has put it in the shelves.

In Britain, our British partner has begun to distribute the game last month.

In the States, our partner CDV will distribute the game early 2008.

However, some US gamers might already have got the game from us or through Matrix and NWS.

Retail distribution is a peculiar world with its own rules...

Sidenote: This is why direct sales are so important to us: of course we get more margin on on-line sales, but most importantly we get the money more quickly to pay our immediate costs!! So even if at the end of the day we'll get more money from retail, this money will only arrive one year or two later and we need to survive meanwhile.

I thought it was only because of the Art Director's work... Was I wrong? :innocent:
