Railroad Repair

Thu Jun 28, 2007 6:45 pm

Is the railroad repair working correctly? If I tell a unit to repair railroad in its region, on the next turn the railroad may still be broken - but the unit doesn't retain its order to repair. Is this normal behavior? I only played 2 turns with the latest patch, so I haven't gone forward long enough to see whether railroads become fixed after several turns...

No problem repairing railroads. For now you do have to give the order to repair rail each turn until successful. Wait for Pocus to let us know if units are supposed to retain their order to repair rail.

Yes, noticed the same. The fun part of the repair stuff, is that it seems to work much better, if you click on the repair button and ask the unit to move to another place. Maybe it's juste psychological, but everytime I do this, railroad gets repaired, and most of the time I leave the unit at the same place, waiting for repair, it take more than one turn :tournepas

Tested with the Bull Run scenario (disabled AI). Everything work fine.

1. You need war supplies to repair railroad (3)

2. The order is reset at the end of the turn, on purpose.
