Help....disaster has struck

out of the blue. Out of nowhere i could not get the game to start as I got the message about errors have caused stalling and must abort. Rebooted my machine a few times and nothing worked. I decided to totally remove the game from my hard drive and reinstall as I was going to start a new game anyway. I used the game uninstall from the Start menu and was advised that some files remained and needed to be removed manually. As I was doing this I got a message that "Cannot delete edmunds.ttf Acess is Denied". Now I have this font file on my hard drive that I can't remove. Worst thing is when I attempt to reinstall the game over these files it stops with the message "An error occured while trying to replace the existing file:
DeleteFile failed; code 5
Access is denied." It stops right at edmunds.ttf.
What the hell do I do now. I can't delete a file that will forever prohibit me from reinstalling the game because it says that access is denied. This is worst than bad. As much as I love this game....well,nevermind. Help, please what can I do?

Nevermind.....I tried again, deleting each item one at a time and it worked. I am now back up and running, starting anew. I will just pretend like nothing has happened. I am playing for the first time.

If you have a file locked, the best thing is to reboot the computer and then delete it.
