A question about command........

Fri Mar 10, 2006 7:04 pm

I understand the importance of having units "in command" but, as a practical matter, if you have a 2 cp general and 4 units going into a fight, is it better to have 2 units in command and 2 units fighting on their own, or to put them all in the stack with the 2 cp general? Has anyone tested this yet?

if the final command, even with a leader, is nearing the 50% penalty (which is the maximal penalty), then you are better to have 2 units fully commanded, and 2 units alone. But you will have problems synchronizing them, as they wont move at the same speed.

Well, I've noticed that if an army needs 4 command and the max command is 2, the value of the Penalty would be 25%. 25% is half the penalty because half the units are in command. 50% is the max penalty for all units being out of command. If any units are in command, the penalty would always be less.

Pocus, is that the way it works?

just retested, and if you have 4 regs with a one star leader, you still have 50% penalty.

The formula for penalty being

100 - 100 * MaxCommand / CurrentCommand

(max 50%)
