Best Practices for illustrated screenies?

Wed Jan 15, 2014 1:53 am

What is the best way to go about taking screenshots, marking them up, cropping, resizing etc. the images used in AARs? I am interested in opinions on what software to use, what size to make the images for best performance on the forum, whether to use a third party storage server like imageshack and any other advice or observations anyone has on this topic.

Thank You!

For me : http://www.ageod-forum.com/showthread.php?27591-French-AAR-BoA2-PBEM-Guru94-(British)-vs-Lindi-(Indian-and-French)

For picture is not the best of the best, but it's easy to use.

OK, one vote for the included windows solutions, thank you Lindi!

Newbie question here, but how do you take a screenshot? Is there a built-in command I am missing? (I am currently playing CW2, WIA and AJE/BOR.)

Other included Windows solutions :

Alt + Tab

with this 2 key you can switch white all open application.

Also use "Windows" Key + "D" Key with that you can return to desktop so, is try to have the snipping tool in the game and use that.

For me that work.

I use the program "Fraps" for taking the screenshots. It's free and you can capture videos too! Then I edit them with Photoshop and, finally, upload them with imageshack.
