Favorite Grand Campaign of all-time?

Sat Dec 03, 2011 3:44 pm

What was your favorite Grand Campaign of AACW? (Please reply with something like this)

Grand Campaign: (Scenario)
Years: (How long did it last)
Side: (CSA or the Union)
Belligerents: (Other Belligerents other than the normal two that fought)
Summary:

Mine:

Grand Campaign: April 1861
Years: Early April 1861 - Late January 1862 (ongoing)
Side: CSA
Belligerents: Great Britain and France on CSA side; Mexico on Union's
Summary: I started this scenario sometime in Summer 2011 and sort of forgot about it after August. However, yesterday I managed to start it back up and continue playing it. By then I had managed to persuade France and Great Britain to join my side by some treaties and smart thinking ;) . Currently my Army of the Potomac is half-sieged in Alexandra and I sent the entire French fleet to attack Washington, DC.

In the west, almost nothing is going on. The Union attempted to take New Orleans throughout December 1861 and Early January 1862, but despite having a great fleet, have not been able to break through.

Up by Canada, no action. British garrisons hold many forts up there but nothing has happened (I think).

Down by Florida and the other islands over there, there's been little action other than some small Union ships passing through. Unfortunately, I don't have a big fleet down there, though I have a well-rounded fleet of about 6-7 ships in VA, TEN and New Orleans.

In Kentucky, I've invaded and sent a couple divisions that way, but nothing really official. Kentucky seceded, so I technically control Kentucky right now.

In short, I'm having fun with this scenario and hold the edge with Kentucky, Canada, Great Britain and France helping me. Plus, the Union is starting to lose morale quickly.
