Region/Area abbreviations in Canada

Mon Oct 19, 2009 9:28 am

Hello Everybody,

I'm new to Ageod games and new to WiA an NCP.
Although I'm still a little bit confused some times, I do start to like/love WiA and NCP ! ;)

I'm curious about the WiA map and there regions. I understand the "U.S." part of it, but still have a question about the "canadian" part.
What are the area/region abbreviations are standing for and where can I find the explanation for the abbreviations in the game ?

CB = Cap Breton ?
NS = Nova Scotia
AC = Acadia
GP = Cap Gaspe ?
SL = Saint Laurent ?
QC = Quebec
UC = Upper Canada ?
EH = ?

Thanks in advance,
Bernadotte

We had to find names for some of the cuts, and most of your analysis is right. Here are my original elements:

CB = Cap Breton
NS = Nova Scotia
AC = Acadia
GP = Gaspésie
SL = Saint Laurent
QC = Quebec
UC = Upper Canada
EH = En Haut (Pays d'En Haut is the name given by French Canadians to the north and northwestern parts of Quebec, more or less towards Hudson Bay)

I'm (again) very impressed about the quick response ! :thumbsup:

Thanks Phil for quick clarification,
Bernadotte
