OKay Whats Going On With This??????

Tue May 06, 2008 6:07 pm

okay so i saw something really wierd last night...actually 2 things.....first on the 61 campaign i am playing as the south.....T.J. Jackson's Corps (45k men)just got done with some heavy fighting with Irvin McDowell's Army of the Patomac (84k men) the battle took place in Winchester VA over the course of 4 days which ended in a complete route of the Federal Army, However Several of Jacksons 3 divisions took some serious casualties. Richard Ewell's Division was knocked down from 18 to 8 elements....i reinforced him and in the next turn i check his division and it said he had 20 elements in his division including some militia units there that i did not put in there.....i check the message log and found that several units had joined his divisions via the "XXX has gained XXX unit" my question is maybe did the units get placed there not knowing the reinforcements were there already or whats going on with that? some sort of bug? has anyone else seen this before? second question when i check the message logs it says certain units gained certain elements then when i check the element list they are know where in site...i know for certain i am looking at the right unit and i checked the rest of them as well but no element of the same name is listed any where.....so did i actually get that element or is it another bug?

Hmm this is definately not a strategy discussion. :fleb:

Anyways, sounds like a problem with the new divions can replace lost elements feature.

What diff does it make if it is or is not a strategy discussion? or are you confused as to where this is posted? :niark:

"Someone" may have moved this thread here from the strategy subforum... :siffle:

Yes i reinforced it back up to 18 elements and then the next turn it said that division got XXX units and it read 20 elements in the division.

Yes, this issue was also kindly pointed out by lodilefty, but I was too late with the fix, so it didn't made it in the current patch.

If you (MkollCSA) send me the save (the turn before and after the invalid replacement) I can check if it works correctly now.

Cheers
Norbert
