Game crashes 2 times out of 2 rather quickly.

Just downloaded the game and applied the latest patch (1.03c).

Having problems though. I have tried the tutorial one (before patching) and the game crashed when directed to move the first army to Geissen. I therefore patched to 1.03c.

I started again, trying a new game with the Spanish Campaign as the Brits/Spanish.

Looking around the gorgeous map, game crashed again. leure:

It seems that the Garnison Ceuta is causing problems, EDIT: And Cuenca?! Surely this isn't just me?. I hovered my mouse over it in the pre-aborted peninsula (loaded initial save) and it crashed.

However, I started a fourth game (waterloo as coalition). I got through 3-4 turns before crashing. Same violation (FFFFFFF8), this time with IV Armee Korps.

Looking through the logs, there is a right hooch of 'TMediaLibrarian.GetMediaInfo: Unable to find MediaInfo for image: ...' (Whynetes Rocket Troop and others - also St. Abbes Head again.)

Try reducing the max texture level allowed in the Options Window, this is abnormal to have bitmaps reported as missing, if means the video card can't cope with the dynamic loading (can be a driver problem or plain simple bad luck).

I never played a sceanrio long enough to notice. However, I decided to play the Finland scenario to see if this was noticable. I reduced the texture level and was able to play through the whole scenario. However, graphic files are sill not being read.

I ticked the first box in texture level option. I was able to play though the Finland scenario but the logs still state a LOT of graphics files being unread. This is verified by some units not having any picture in unit card (Finland Militia IIRC). St. Abbes Head still doesn't wish to be found even though it is in the region folder.

If that does not work, I will keep trying the PW scenario and see if there is some pattern. However, it seems only to be hovering/clicking on units (and there is no consistency which units they are) that are causing the critical exceptions.

Otherwise I shall try and make do.

EDIT: Just read your email. That eases my mind a lot, thanks for the information. Will try and see if there is a pattern.

I have tried several scenarios and have been able to play to completion. I haven't tried them all, but it appears only to be the Peninsula Campaign that brings on the crashes early on.

Have patched up to 1.04
