Playing as Britons in 450DC

Fri Feb 01, 2008 9:00 am

Hi everyone,

I am starting my first play with Britons, in 450 DC, in fantasy scenario.

The game is currently quite challenging, as I have to fight against Saxons, Jutes, Pitts and Scots.

It seems to me that I am a bit overpowered by them. Is there any good suggestion you could provide?

I have read the suggestions of Philippe, but they don't seems to apply well to my case.

If I have not mentioned before, I think this is really a GREAT game.

Ciao

First of all, thanks for your positive comment.

I suppose you are playing the introductory scenario.
All your enemies are "raider" nations. Well, the "raider" status enormously increases the endurance and the power of this nations, mainly if they are "officially" at war with you. The best way is to avoid wars, in the official way. Just try resisting their pressure, and cede the territories you are really not able to protect enough from their raids...
Remember this is just the introductory scenario.
When playing longer campaigns, you will see such nations aging and evolving little by little, so becoming less aggressive.

Thanks again,
Calvinus.

Hi Calvinus,

no, I have already played the introductory scenario. As I have found quite interesting the Britons, I was trying to play them in a longer campain, namely the 450AD - Flagellum Dei.
