Fleets won't load armies under 1.0.6 ?

Sun Apr 16, 2006 2:35 pm

I patched the game to 1.0.6 this morning and now I cannot get a single fleet to load an army as they used to.

Correct. I put a note about that in the sticky patch announcement.

Hello...I have posted this elsewhere. Though you cannot load land units onto ships you can in a port move the fleet/ship tab over the land unit tab and it will load that way (just make sure that the weight of the land unit/expedition/army is equal or smaller than weight of the ship/fleet). May not be considered the correct (normal move)...but it seems to work until a fix is released for 1.06.

Thanks for the update Pocus. Not sure if its related but you cant combine ship groups either. It just displays the same error message about 'one army per turn' ... like in the big 75 GC (as America) the 1st single unit of transports frigates you get then a few turns later you get the navy with 2 units and a leader, if you try to combine them it gives that error.

Im still to busy getting my butt kicked by the 1.6 AI to worry about this bug at the moment anyway ;) Dammmm ... its like you taught it to be psychic, and forget about hoping for a long siege now, if the AI thinks he can take you he will crush the defenders. Its made me really jumpy :tournepas and I have armies running all over trying to escape hehe.

huhu, I need these feedbacks to know how the AI really performs in various situations, because my tests can't check all.

There is a work around if you want to load something on a fleet: drop the fleet over the army, it should works.
