Who is Edward Johnson

Mon Sep 24, 2007 5:45 pm

Edward Johnson just shows up in 1862 as a two star General. Keep in mind I do not have many two star generals - not even Longstreet or Stuart General Johnson is pretty good also - 5-3-3 or 4-3-3 (can't remember). While I am happy to have him I am curious as to why I get him.

So I did read up on Google about him and he seems like a good general who never when above the division level. I guess my real question is why did he appear as a 2**? ( I immediately made him a Corps commander)

No, 'Aleghenny' Johnson does not deserve to be eligible for corps command when he appears, but issues like this are why we invented the leader mod.

Did you do a Google search for Milledge Bonham?

LOL - I see what you mean about Bonham. Come to think of it I can't recall reading anything about Bonham whereas Holmes they seem to have gotten about right.

I think Edward Johnson just caught my eye because 2** are relatively unusual and his ratings were pretty good. Right about now ole Edward is comming in right handy.

IIRC - Johnson was with Jackson as a * at the beginning of the valley campaign. He was wounded at Milroy. It took him a year to recover, during which time I believe he was promoted.
