Thanks for calculation!
This is initial pace of the game. I think that in future it will be better, 3-4 turns per week or even 1 turn per day. Just warned that we have No deadline.
In any case, it's more better than playing against AI.

We try, almost none of us have played PON before. We want to introduce into the game the ability to provide loans to another country as well as the transfer of units, resources and territory (I know that they did this in other MP PON).Therefore, I would like to find players who know how to do such events and did them before.

While I have a bit of experience in such things, unfortunately I have no timeslots left. :pleure:

However, here is an advice:
the game has a lot of turns and if you want to see the end or at least make it into 1890's your greatest concern is to get the game going at all. It is not the game mechanics that you should be concerned of in the first months of your common journey but the group of players. Decisions ingame should be taking relations offgame into account.
Playing a long game means that there are very little decisions that are fatal gamewise, but a lot of decisions have the potential of collapse offgame.

Just saying. :papy: :)

Thank you, I understand what you're talking about. This campaign was launched by fans of ageod games from the Russian gaming forum Strategium.ru. Then we invited players from the TWC forum.
We have our own Russian-speaking campaign community.
All players communicate with each other through a chat in Slack (in English). There we try to conduct diplomatic correspondence in the style of the 19th century. To do this, we need to study the names and titles of many historical figures of that era. This is very exciting and informative. By creating separate private chats, we imitate secret negotiations and international conferences.

Due to the complicated and confusing negotiations on the Eastern Crisis and due to the delay in the progress of some players, the game slowed down a bit, now there is an 18 turn.
Difficult diplomatic negotiations to end the aggression of Austria and Russia against Turkey continue, but at the same time, Russians and Austrians seize the Balkan territories of the Ottoman Empire, Prussia occupied Bavaria (the Austrian satellite), France concentrated its armies on the border with Austria , Britain threatens to declare war on Russia and destroy its merchant fleet .
And also China declared war on Japan (?!!)

And we continue to invite new players to join this crazy diplomatic-economic-military circus)

Now there is a 22nd turn, November 1850

Turkish negotiations with Russia and Austria were foiled and the British Empire was forced to declare war on Russia.A British-French defense treaty was also concluded.

Thus, 7 players are already involved in one way or another in a big war!

The entry into the war of France can be expected in January-February 1851

Inside British problems:
Excessive production of mechanical parts and the lack of demand for them in the world market forced the government to close almost their production. This in turn led to a reduction in demand for steel and the closure of steel production, which in turn caused a drop in demand for iron and the cessation of its import from Belgium friendly to us.Also closed two-thirds of the production of dyes in India. To save state money, two of the three shipyards were closed.
Here is the Great Depression of the 19th century .Can a big war help solve these economic problems, or finally ruin a country?

Our plan to attract the maximum number of players begins to be beneficial. As soon as we lost the player for Portugal, we immediately found a new player, represented by an experienced player Lordlay1 .Also, we should have a new player for Brazil Empire.

Events in the game: a rash attack by Russian cruisers against a merchant ship in a trading zone off the coast of North America led to important consequences. The hype inflated by the British press about the threat of all merchant shipping near North America and the appeal to the US government led the United States to sharply condemn this attack , about the inadmissibility of similar later and early patrols off the coast of North and South America. The actions of the Russians were also condemned by the new government of Portugal. This is a small but important victory for British diplomacy.
Only Spain continues to pursue a neutral, and sometimes not British-friendly policy.

In January 1851, the Western European coalition presented Austria and Russia with the latest ultimatum. The immediate cessation of aggression against Turkey and a return to the status quo.Otherwise, the declaration of war by all coalition countries.Russia at once, and Austria, having thought a little, rejected this ultimatum. The great European war became inevitable.

The 30th turn is made.
We already have 16 participants, Sweden and Denmark just joined. Almost all European countries are already occupied.Unfortunately, the player for Brazil disappeared without starting the game, a very disappointing loss.
We would really like to have several players for the countries of Central and South America.

In the winter of 1851, Prussia, Great Britain and Sardinia declared war on Austria. Russia in response declared war on Prussia. The great war in Europe began.
The Prussian army, which had already managed to capture Bavaria, invaded Austria and soon the large Prussian army launched a siege of Vienna. The Sardinians attacked the superior forces of the Austrians, Marshal Radetzky, and defeated and captured Lombardy.
Light Austrian cavalry in response broke into the center of Prussia and captured several undefended cities.

Belief in the absolute superiority of the English fleet played a trick on me. My blocking squadrons in the Gulf of Finland and the Black Sea were suddenly attacked from ports by Russian ships. As a result, the British fleet suffered terrible losses, about 50 ships were lost, though mostly light ones. The losses of the Russians are just a few ships.
The remnants of the fleets were taken to the metropolis, where they now have a long and expensive repair. The blockade of Russian ports and zones of trade was terminated indefinitely, the UK NM fell to 88 and Russia increased to 120.
Ruler of Russia proved to be a dangerous and impudent player.

Lord Wellington’s expeditionary English corps and the remnants of the Turkish army trample near Istanbul, but the Russians and Austrians are not trying to attack us.

The new Swedish player is trying to organize peace negotiations between the warring parties, but so far the military conflict is only growing. France has just declared war on Baden, the satellite of Austria. and sent her squadron to the Black Sea.

What maps do you want to see? This campaign is not about how to color the map in the color of your country, but a complex diplomatic game, most of which takes place in diplomatic chat rooms.

Now there is a 34 turn.

The French Republic finally entered the great European war and declared war on Austria. In response, the Austrian ally Russia declared war on France .The French armies moved to Germany and Italy. I hope that the powerful French army will be able to make the aggressors more accommodating.
Unfortunately, before this, the Prussian army (controlled by a player for the United States, since the Prussian player was away) suffered a major defeat near Vienna and is forced to conclude a temporary ceasefire with Austria.
Most of all, I was afraid that the coalition countries would join the war one by one and would be consistently beaten by aggressors. It looks like this is happening.
The Russian raiders again attacked and sunk British merchant ships. This looks like the complete humiliation of the Queen of the Seas. With our heavy losses in the fleet and their slow repair in ports, we have no opportunity to chase them across the oceans.

It becomes difficult to recruit new players because small countries have too little forces and money and it’s not very interesting to manage. My idea of giving players for minor countries one more country was not supported by most players.

We have "trial version" of participating in our campaign now!
If you would like, you can enter the wonderfull PON-5 world by leading one of the minor German states, involved to war (Bavaria or Baden). However, you will obligate to agree with any propositon of peace, if all your territory would be occupied and, it is necessary to say, that half of Bavaria is occupied already by Prussia and Baden has a little chance to hold for long against French Army. It will not require to maintain the whole multy-month or even multy-year game, but, playing 5-6 turns for minor you could decide if you want to play, leading, for example, Greece, Argentine or Norway in further campaign.

Examples of creativity of our players:

- AAR of our player for Sardinia (Italy)):

newspaper "Corrierre della Sera"

Po Valley is cleared from Austrians!
Summer Sardinian campaign seems as successfull as winter operation at Lombardia. Duke Fernando di Savoy, after liberating the South Tirole, arrived to Venice which was covered twice larger forces of his "old friend", field-marshal Radetsky. Fernando came to well fortified enemie's positions near Treviso without any intention to waste Italian blood at desperate attacks. He has prepared to artillery bombardment and deliberate assault instead.
There were about 90 thousands men and 400 artillery guns in Sardinian Army and 170 thousand with 600 cannons opposite them. Despite this grim figures, assault has an absolute success! Field fortifications were ruined and taken by assault of guard corps. All counter-attacks of Austrian forces were defeated. Also, Radetsky considered the possibilty of arriving our French allies to his left flank. Field-marshal ordered to retreat to the left shore of Tagliamento-river. His losses achive 45 thousands of men. Sardinian losses are 12 thousands killed and wounded in action.
Venice is besieged and beautifull Po Valley is free from foreign occupation once and forever!

- An example of an Austrian player’s diplomatic appeal to a Prussian player:

Official letter from the Minister-President of the Austrian Empire, Duke Felix Schwarzenberg, to the Minister-President of Prussia, Baron Otto von Manteuffel

Your Grace, I cannot conceal that His Majesty the Emperor Franz Joseph is very hard on Prussia.
The great losses and destruction caused by this war to Austria and its loyal ally Bavaria more than explain this.
In response to Prussia's offer, I am authorized to transmit to You the following.
Austria is ready for peace with Prussia on the following terms:
1. Prussia makes a white peace with Bavaria.
2. Prussia does not stop building a railway in the Bavarian region of Franken as compensation for Bavaria.
3. Prussia cedes the city of Erfurt to Austria as compensation for Austria
4. Prussia and Austria conclude a peace agreement and agree on non aggression for a period of 2 years
5. All Coalition troops must be withdrawn from Prussian territory
6. These conditions are not a desire to humiliate Prussia, but a consequence of compensation for destruction and loss.
7. After the conclusion of peace, Austria is ready to discuss further mutually beneficial cooperation with Prussia in various fields.
8. As we know, Russia's wishes were communicated to Prussia through diplomatic channels. Austria is aware of them and fully supports them.
9. This message is public, because it is a response to a public message from Prussia.

Felix Schwarzenberg

43 Turn (october 1851)
Our grand campaign got new players - now we have a player for the Brazilian empire
We also decided to allow them to control the second country to increase the interest in the game of some minors (and players whose countries are not in Europe). This is a controversial decision, not all players support it. But in this way, we have Switzerland - the United States and also Portugal - Denmark controlled by only one player. Let's see what this leads to.

PLAYERS LIST :
Image

military operations are becoming increasingly widespread. The French army began an invasion of Tyrol, but the counterattack of the three Austrian corps forced it to retreat to Venice. There are the main troops of the Sardinian army. They have been trying for a long time to break through the fortifications of the Venice fortress. The British squadron of Admiral Nepier blocks Austrian ports in the Adriatic.
Image

The British army landed in Albania and tried to cut off the Austrian occupation forces in the Balkans. In the Nis region, her battle with Russian and Austrian forces took place. British troops first participated in a major land battle and won.
Image

Image

The corps of Lord FitzClarence of the Indian Army landed in Basra to help our Turkish allies.
Image

British Rowan's corps captured Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky, the capital of the Russian Far East.
Image

in the Far East, the Chinese continue to seize the Japanese islands.
Image

We also freed Canadian Vancouver(which was captured by some Russian pirates before this).Their ship was seen in the American port. There are also suspicions that Russian raiders also take refuge and refuel in American ports. The US government does not respond to British angry notes. This US behavior is very alarming to us.

Greetings, I see that you are an experienced PON player and have previously participated in MP campaigns.

As you can see, all the main countries are already occupied. You can choose any free one. If for some reason the Major countries player leaves our campaign, we suggest that minor players take his place (this is exactly what will happen now - the Austrian player leaves us and the Dutch player takes his place) .So, after a few turns, we will free the Netherlands. It’s also possible that I myself will give Great Britain to someone and take the minor country for myself (alas, I don’t see another way to attract new players to the game(( ).
Our game is very slow (one turn - a week) and we don’t have a goal to win, we enjoy all of the very intense diplomatic correspondence between the players, discussing war, treaties and trade. If you are interested, then join.

Most of our players are new to MP PON and your experience would be very handy.

If the Netherlands will be freeing up, I will happily play them. In any other case, I can play whatever you guys think is the most important of the remainder (maybe Mexico or Two Sicilies?).

Yes I played a couple of MP games a long time ago, it was a lot of fun, but as you can imagine life commitments eventually would get into the way for most people. However, we were playing 1 turn a day. It was faster, but it was also a larger commitment.
