Is just playing scenarios - e.g. Borodino any good

Mon Jan 29, 2018 10:16 pm

Well I thought I might at least give WON small scenarios a go as I never have time or patience for 500 turn games.

I notice the Borodino scenario has no intro text - just says "strxxx" in the selection box. Does it actually play OK or was it a 1.03 add-on that was never finished?

I have never see this scenario. I just downloaded the Feb 2017 beta and it did not appear so it is curious that you have such a scenario. I would have liked to try it.

I suspect this scenario is 'hidden' as it is the eighth scenario and is not on the opening page.

It plays ok, but I have a display issue when I open the game - I cannot see the screen. But if I hit my E key it takes me to a land unit and all is ok.
When I say it plays ok, I have only played two turns of the scenario, but it seemed fine.

I suspect there is a missing link for the text as the last tab which is the game overview also is missing it text. You can get a good idea of focus from the objectives tab.

It's listed under the Campaign Scenarios, because it is 30 turns long.

Only Scenarios of =< 12 turns are listed under Short Scenarios.

@Captain Orso: Thank you, your advice helped me find the Russian-Swedish conflict but I am unable to find a Borodino scenario/campaign that was mentioned at the start of this thread. Any help you can offer with this?

Are we talking about WoN or Napoleon's Campaigns? I can see nothing like this in WoN. I can see both in Napoleon's Campaigns.

Look in '..\Wars of Napoleon\NGC\Scens\' if you have the file '9 - 1812 Borodino.scn'.

I'm looking at the 1.03.1 installation. I don't find it in 1.03 nor 1.02.

Perhaps the same question as above. I found the Borodino scenario within the directory, but it does not show when I load the game and try a new game, so how can I load the scenario if it is not showing within the options for either the short scenarios or the campaign scenarios?

I often state the obvious and miss the actual point, but the scroll down on the upper right where there is not stitching or other marks, put you mouse there and click until you see all.

Sorry, I meant - where do I find 1.03.01. I thought I was up to date, but clearly I'm not - my version, updated through the matrix version, says 1.02. But I can't find 1.03.01 anywhere. Where is it?
