East Prussia 1914 scenario, negative victory points?

Thu Apr 20, 2017 11:06 pm

I've been trying the easy East Prussia 1914 scenario and noticed that in all games, the other side, no matter who I play, always loses with negative thousands of victory points. Is this deliberate to make the scenario easy to play, or is it a bug?

I am pretty sure this just means you are playing well as both factions. You can up the difficulty and see if you get the same results.
Another option is to play both sides and see which one you do best with if there is no AI.

I tried the above advice and discovered the following:

Solitaire: When playing the scenario solitaire, the victory points are tabulated correctly.

High difficulty: There is no difference, either playing as Russia or Germany.

Poor play: I have tried to play as poorly as possible, but the AI immediately goes into negative points.

To reproduce:
  • Start scenario 1, East Prussia Campaign 1914, as either Germany or Russia.
  • Hit "Proceed to Next Turn" without giving any orders.
  • Hit F9 to look at "Scores & Objectives." The enemy will now have a score in the negative hundreds.

This is the only scenario that I've played that has the automatically negative victory points.

I have already written some time ago http://www.ageod-forum.com/viewtopic.php?t=50872 about an issue resembling this one, and I still stand by my story- this is a sort of a strange bug. Inexplicably, but developers ignore it.
