I am new to these games but I already like what I see, with a few more patches to improve stability (at least on my machine) this will be my new addiction.

Note:

This version now includes "StraitBlock" logic.

Simply put, forts and shore based artillery will only fire on ships passing through designated water regions.
To start, all rivers, "estuaries" Dardanelles/Bosphor and Neva Mouth [Kronstadt Fort] are active.

You should no longer see forts damaging ships passing in "Coastal" waters...
Gibraltar will no longer fire on passing enemies. GBR will need to patrol!

Incorporated in this rule is also a chance that the ships will evade forts fire. You will see a message is successful evasion occurs.

Double Adjacency rule still applies [I think ]
