Hi
As Spain, january 05, i dow morocco algeria and tunisia

you let the war on without doing anything
since each turn, 1 is added to the "war result" after 10 turns, the "war number" is 10.
ask them to sue for peace and you can grab 3 areas from them (3*3=9) doing NOTHING at all
that is free

hum ....

That's indeed exploitive, any system can be exploited probably. We will see if we can improve on that (when we get time for that)

I thought you only get War Score for cities you've taken. Unless there are cities Spain controls, which Morocco, Algeria, and Tunisia think they should own... or have I misunderstood this?

Also, isn't there some time limit within which the DoW'er must actually invade the DoW'ed state, before the DoW fades out for lack of activity?

So an attacker equal to a defender wins the war because he can't beat defender and defender can't repulse attacker so it is a draw
and the draw is an attacker 's victory as per +1/turn

exploit indeed if i do nothing in the war and grab areas
BUT
there is a problem with the fact that the war result increasing by +1 automatically
why ?
because you artificially raise the victory for the attacker

if the defender does nothing, he lost cause the war result is growing up automatically
so the price for a peace is higher as the war goes on simply because the war goes on

as Spain, i dowed Portugal but GB's army added to Portugal kept me at bay so i only advanced to 2 cities
(almeida and elvas) then could not move further cause i could not match them
so .... i wait and after a few turns, you win despite the fact it is not an exploit and the defender could not attack me
and me attacking him

good luck ^^

The bonus +1 WS vs a minor (up to 10) has been removed for the next beta round.

Thanks for the report. You could have expressed it differently though, we are not leaving exploits on purpose ;)
