version 1.05 related issues

Mon Jun 25, 2007 8:57 pm

1. Display problem only?: many militia locked with lock visible on map unit but not on unit display(said units eventually unlock so reason for lock does not seem to be restriction to local city service-no tooltip explanation or indication of unlock date); player of csa game reported same issue.
2. Problem: units in a city with the message 'inside Monroe' or some such but visible on map, lose their accrued entrenchment when unit is picked up and positioned to drop into said city(ie disappear from main map to reduce map clutter for visibility purposes).
3. Note: A locked unit cannot be added to a division with the plus key but cntl_C will add such a unit. Not sure if this is intentional or an oversight.
4. Note: A stack containing locked and unlocked units and an active leader cannot 'push' the create division button. Moving said leader and the unlocked units to another stack frees the button and the desired division can then be created. Not sure if this is intentional.
5. Request: As stated by others, a map only view would be appreciated as seeing a city with its assorted icon attributes such as depot/factory/city level... is needed to make some movement decisions. City on top feature would be equally satisfactory.
6.Question: if unit(s)approach a city by rail to limit cohesion losses with the intent to attack it, are they still in rail mode when combat resolution occurs? If such is the case I might have to go by rail to an adjacent area, then go overland to the target city in the next turn.

I did notice a pair of brigades in Illinois that have the padlock flashing over the envelope in the info box, but no padlock on either the counter itself or any info in the tooltip showing it to be locked.

2) If they are visible on the map they are not in the city, so by pulling them over the city you change it's position and lose entrenchments. But I seem to recall you can pull them back outside the city and see them regain their entrenchment level if all you intended to do was to clear up a cluttered area temporarily.

entrenched units visible on map

The entrenched units I am talking about actually have a message indicating they are inside the city. I am aware that units can be outside the city and entrenched.
