Just install it via ingame update mechanism, or download it from matrix games civil war II, downloads section.

Enjoy :)

Wow, didn't even notice. I wonder (and assume) if it's the same as 1.04RC6?

I understood there were some slight differences. Is this save game compatible?

I was playing 1.04RC6(manually updated) through Steam, used the auto update and now I'm back to 1.04RC5, don't think that's correct is it?

Thanks for the heads up, Ace. Is there a changelist included or one posted somewhere? I'd like to see if the force strength for region was changed.

It is save compatible. There are some differences to RC6. You get the changelist in readme file once you update. Force strength for region is total for enemy forces, and individual stack strength for own forces (as in RC6).
As for Steam, maybe Valve needs to update their servers as well, don't know. I updated via in-game updater (not Steam version).

Just downloaded the new patch, and I can't change units names.

Steam updated my CW2 to 1.04 yesterday (new executable). This changed something related to loading saves, as my current game is no longer selectable from the load menu. I can resume it, but not load it.

Confirmed. I have the same problem. Updated through the CWII intro screen.

This is sadly a bug who was left in the uploaded file in July. We will probably have to issue a public beta 1.05 very soon because of that.
