A turn every 2-3 days would be fine with me. Unfortunately, not faster than that.

If we can get a Russian and British turn in, we can process the next turn. PhilThib if looking into erasing passwords on turn files and said he might be able to take Japan after June.

He was turning everyone else AI, and I think that the Russians went AI, as they declared partial mobilization this turn.

For some reasons, they always do that when the Ai takes over.

Early June 1886.... If no one minds, now that I have Japan's password from Pocus, I would like to take them over for a while to fix up their economy and military.

Russia declares war on Persia? Does Persia even have an army?

As this game has kinda napped I forgot to claim for my 2 diplomats last January. Can I have 4 with next turn? Would like to have the 2 for July in any case.

Before we proceed I would like to clarify how my allies Egypt, Austria and Italy get handled in case of a new Turco/Russian war over Persia.

As Russia declared war, any ally of Persia (if any) has the option to declare war on Russia. The AI will almost certainly not declare to help Persia. After an ally declares war, then Russia's allies (if any) can declare war on the declarer. At that point, any ally of the declarer can declare on the ally that declared. Thus your allies may not get a war with Russia. Let me explain with an example.

Russia declares on Persia. Ottoman Empire is Persia's ally, Germany is Russia's ally, and France is the Ottoman's ally.
The OE are given a CB on Russia, and decide to declare war on Russia.
Germany is given a CB on the OE, and decides to declare on the OE.
France is given a CB on Germany, but not Russia. This is important, as only the OE is fighting both Russia and Germany. If France declares war on Germany, then Russia is given a CB.

So the situation is: Russia is fighting the OE and Persia, Germany is fighting the OE and France, France is only fighting Germany, Persia is only fighting Russia. Russia can let the CB pass, and not have to fight France as well. France would have to declare war on Russia to fight (probably have to forge a CB).

As I said above, in my experience, the AI almost always does not join in a war. Most times they sit it out (they are terrible allies). Or they fight for a few turns and immediately offer peace (which is usually taken by the other AI).

They forged a CB. I saw no reason why not utilise it, especially in lioght of your earlier comment - the four of us against the world.

@Citizen: why not DoW someone more 'juicy', e.g. Austria, I would be happy to contribute.

Austria is my ally. As is Persia. Also I wouldn't call the largest army of the planet a juicy target.

Austria is full of resources - that's what I meant by juicy.

Further, if the three, even more the four of us turns on Austria, it could hardly have any chance. At least, that was my understanding of what Jim proposed - to end the game in one big, epic scale war.

And, for the record, Russia is still number one in military terms - at least on my F10.

Intriguing idea. Germany does have two wars where Austria tried to stab us in the back so there is definitely some lingering animosity there. However, right now Germany is having a hard time against the hardcore Belgians.
